Interactive Zoom meeting

Lake of the Woods Arts Community is proud to announce the first of several free presentations provided by our talented artisans. Check out all of our upcoming Arts@Home sessions at www.lowac.ca/artshome!

For our first workshop, Irene McCuaig will introduce us to notan, a Japanese concept that emphasizes the balance and interplay of light and dark shapes in a painting. The workshop will be held in an interactive Zoom meeting where you can choose to be visible, ask questions, and socialize!

You’ll need the following supplies if you’d like to paint along. If you’d rather watch and enjoy the experience, that’s fine too!
* Watercolour paper, minimum 140 lb, preferably Arches
* Watercolour paints (whatever colours you like)
* Brushes (2-3-inch wash brush, round #8 ish)
* India Ink
* Paper towels
* Water container
* Substrate (something to support your watercolour paper. Can be wood, plexiglass etc.)
* Waterproof covering for work surface

For more information about the artist, visit Irene at inglenookartstudio.com or see her artist profile at lowac.ca/irene-mccuaig-inglenook-art-studio.

To register for this two part workshop, please follow the links below. Please note, you will need to register for both sessions.

If you still need time to think about it, session details and registration are available at: www.lowac.ca/artshome.

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting. Please put this information in a place you’ll remember for the meeting.

Please note, this is the first presentation and since Internet isn’t always stable, we may experience some hiccups. Upon registration, you’ll receive information on who to contact if you have any difficulties. It’s possible you may lose the connection; the presenter’s signal could fail or their voices or images break up on screen. While we’ve done our best to prepare, some of this is out of our control. You can always sign in again or reboot if necessary.

If you don’t already have a Zoom account, it’s recommended that you download the free desktop version from zoom.us to help ensure you can log into the meeting without any difficulty.
