The Winnipeg Model Railroad Club is hosting its Annual Spring Show and Open House on Saturday and Sunday, April 18th and 19th. The Show is at the Charleswood Royal Canadian Legion, 6003 Roblin Boulevard, Winnipeg … the Legion with the tank. Doors open at 10:00 a.m. and the show is until 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and closes at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday. Parking and the primary entrance is on the east side of the Legion; handicap parking and accessibility is provided on the west side. Admission is FREE. Donations for our Club’s charity, the St. Amant Foundation and to aid with our operating expenses are graciously accepted. Always a crowd pleaser, there is a free-to-enter Door Prize … a complete Thomas the Engine operating set. There will be several operating model railroad layouts, plus many informative displays by others including the St. Amant Foundation, the Prairie Dog Central Railway, and the Midwestern Railway Association. Children of all ages can try the HO-scale switching puzzle and there will also be an operating layout of Thomas the Engine and his friends for everyone to run. Hot dogs, snacks, and refreshments are available.
