U-First!® is an innovative education program that helps frontline staff to develop a common knowledge base, language, values and approach to caring for people with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementia by:
• Understanding the person living with dementia and their associated behaviour changes
• Working as a team to develop individualized support strategies
This 6 hour education program will help you to:
• Improve/Identify supportive care strategies
• Increased awareness of the causes of responsive behaviours and how to respond in a safe and helpful way
• Feel more confident in caring for someone with dementia
• Reduce stress and increase professional
satisfaction for you and others on the team
